fpZip: Benchmarks
The performance comparison was made with the 64-bit version of fpZip and
the 64-bit versions of 7-Zip 4.65 and WinRAR 3.90 beta 1.
The test scenario was as follows:
- Processor: Intel Q9450 at 2,66 GHz (four cores)
- Memory: 8 GiB PC2-6400 at 400 MHz
- Hard disk 1: Samsung HD502IJ (SATA)
- Hard disk 2: Seagate ST31500341AS (SATA)
- Hard disk 3: Western Digital MyBook (USB)
- Operating system: Windows Vista x64 Home Premium
